112 BROWN CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Plastic clay for wheel and modeling. The addition of granular manganese gives a speckled surface. The ideal temperature for developing best color tone is cone 5. Good results may be expected in reduction or oxidation firing. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12% at C/4, 12.5% at C/6. Absorption: 4.5% at C/4, 2.5% at C/6.

225 BROWN CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Same characteristics as 112, but has no specks. Ideal for throwing and slab work. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12% at C/4, 12.5% at C/6. Absorption: 4.5% at C/4, 2.5% at C/6.

200 CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

All purpose mid range clay. Orange-brown in reduction. Deep beige in oxidation. Contains fine grog. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 10% at C/4, 12.5% at C/6. Absorption: 3% at C/4, 2% at C/6.

201 CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Plastic, all-purpose clay. Fires light gray in oxidation. Contains fine grog. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12% at Cone 6. Absorption: 2.25% at C/6.

211 HAZELNUT BROWN CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

A nice plastic clay for throwing and handbuilding. At C/6 oxidation, its a warm brown color usually associated with reduction firing. Reacts well with glazes. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 13% at C/6. Absorption: 2.25% at C/6.

308 BROOKLYN RED CLAY - Cone 6-8 (Photo C/6)

Red stoneware body with sand and grog. Oxidation firing yields brick red at cone 6 and deep warm brown at cone 8. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12% at C/4, 13% at C/8. Absorption: 2.5% at C/4, 1.0% at C/8.

760 SPECKLED CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Similar working qualities to #112 clay. Grayish tan color with very fine black specks. Contains manganese and fine grog. Shrinkage: 12% at C/6. Absorption: 2.2% at C/6.

266 DARK BROWN CLAY - Cone 4-5 (Photo C/5)

Gives reduction-like dark brown color in electric kiln. Smooth and plastic. Good for all techniques. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 11.5% at C/4, 13% at C/6. Absorption: 2.4% at C/4, 1.4% at C/6.

710 DARK BROWN CLAY W/GROG - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Gives reduction-like dark brown color in electric kiln. Smooth and plastic. Fine grog added. Good for all techniques. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 11% at C/4, 12.5% at C/6. Absorption: 2.4% at C/4, 1.4% at C/6.

553 WARM BUFF CLAY - Cone 4-6 (Photo C/6)

Good for production work. Contains fire clay and fine grog. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12.4% at C/6. Absorption: 2.9% at C/6.

630 WHITE STONEWARE CLAY - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

Contains fire clay and mullite which enhances thermal properties. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage at C/6: 13.0%. Absorption at C/6: 1.5%.

563 CREAMY WHITE STONEWARE CLAY - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

Smooth vitreous stoneware body. Contains no fire clay. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 14% at C/6. Absorption: 1.0% at C/6.

240 WHITE CLAY - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

A very smooth, plastic throwing body. Shrinkage: 13% at C/6. Absorption: 2.75% at C/6.

240G WHITE CLAY W/GROG - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

A very smooth, plastic throwing body with fine grog. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12.5% at C/6. Absorption: 2.75% at C/6.

551 V.P. PORCELAIN - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

Very plastic white porcelain. Good for throwing. Does not contain ball clay. Suggested bisque temperature C/06. Shrinkage: 13% at C/6. Shrinkage: 13% at C/6. Absorption: .3% at C/6.

365 ENGLISH PORCELAIN - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

Same as 257 but formulated to fire at a lower temperature. Suggested bisque temperature C/06. Shrinkage: 13.5% at C/6. Absorption: .60% at C/6.

420 SCULPTURE CLAY - Cone2-6 (Photo C/2)

Our most heavily grogged body, formulated for sculpture and tile. Sand color at Cone 6, off white at Cone 2. Shrinkage: 7% at C/2, 8% at C/6. Absorption: 8% at C/2, 1.5% at C/6.

420 SCULPTURE CLAY - Cone 2-6 (Photo C/6)

Our most heavily grogged body, formulated for sculpture and tile. Sand color at Cone 6, off white at Cone 2. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 7% at C/2, 8% at C/6. Absorption: 8% at C/2, 1.5% at C/6.

509 IVORY WHITE CLAY - Cone 6 (Photo C/6)

Light firing clay for tile and handbuilding. Can be thrown if potters prefer a toothy body. Contains sand. Suggested bisque temperature C/04. Shrinkage: 12% at C/6. Absorption: 2.5% at C/6.
